Bài này chúng ta sẽ tìm hiểu cách đo thể tích của vật rắn không thấm nước như thế nào?
I. Cách đo thể tích vật rắn không thấm nước và chìm trong nước
Để đo thể tích vật rắn không thấm nước và chìm trong nước, có thể dùng bình chia độ, bình tràn.
1. Đo thể tích vật rắn không thấm nước bằng bình chia độ
– Khi dùng bình chia độ ta nhớ đổ đủ nước vào bình (sao cho khi thả vật vào thì vật được ngập hoàn toàn trong nước). Khi đó thể tích của phần chất lỏng dâng lên bằng thể tích của vật.
Cách đo thể tích vật rắn không thấm nước bằng bình chia độ
Thể tích của vật được tính bằng công thức: Vvật = V2 – V1
Trong đó:
– V1 là thể tích của nước khi chưa thả vật vào trong bình chia độ.
– V2 là thể tích của nước và vật khi thả vật vào trong bình chia độ.
2. Đo thể tích vật rắn không thấm nước bằng bình tràn
– Ta thường sử dụng phương pháp bình tràn khi vật rắn không bỏ lọt bình chia độ.
Cách đo thể tích vật rắn không thấm nước bằng bình tràn
Ta đổ nước vào đầy bình tràn.
– Thả hòn đá vào bình tràn, đồng thời hứng nước tràn từ bình tràn vào một bình chứa.
– Đo thể tích nước tràn ra bằng bình chia độ, đó là thể tích hòn đá, tức khi đó:
Vvật = Vnước tràn ra ở trong bình chia độ.
⇒ Như vậy thể tích của vật rắn bất kỳ không thấm nước có thể đo được bằng cách:
– Thả vật đó vào chất lỏng đựng trong bình chia độ. Thể tích của phần chất lỏng dâng lên bằng thể tích của vật.
– Khi vật rắn không bỏ lọt bình chia độ thì thả chìm vật đó vào trong bình tràn. Thể tích của phần chất lỏng tràn ra bằng thể tích của vật.
II. Câu hỏi vận dụng
* Câu C4 trang 17 SGK Vật lý 6: Nếu dùng ca thay cho bình tràn và bát to thay cho bình chứa để đo thể tích của vật như hình 4.4 thì cần phải chú ý điều gì?
* Lời giải:
Những điều cần chú ý khi dùng ca thay cho bình tràn và bát to thay cho bình chứa để đo thể tích của vật :
– Lau khô bát to trước khi dùng.
– Khi nhấc ca ra, không làm đổ nước ra bát.
– Đổ hết nước từ bát vào bình chia độ, không làm đổ nước ra ngoài.
* Câu C5 trang 17 SGK Vật lý 6: Hãy tự làm một bình chia độ: Dán bằng giấy trắng dọc theo chai nhựa (hoặc cốc), dùng bơm tiêm bơm 5cm3 nước vào chai, đánh dấu mực nước và ghi 5cm3 vào băng giấy. Tiếp tục làm như vậy và ghi 10cm3, 15cm3… cho đến khi nước đầy bình chia độ.
* Lời giải:
+ Dụng cụ: vỏ chai nhựa (hoặc cốc), giấy trắng, bơm tiêm.
+ Cách làm:
– Bước 1: Dán bằng giấy trắng dọc theo chai nhựa (hoặc cốc)
– Bước 2: dùng bơm tiêm bơm 5 cm3 nước vào chai, đánh dấu mực nước và ghi 5cm3 vào băng giấy.
– Bước 3: Tiếp tục làm như vậy và ghi 10cm3, 15cm3… cho đến khi nước đầy bình chia độ.
* Câu C6 trang 17 SGK Vật lý 6: Hãy tìm hai vật nào đó và đo thể tích của chúng bằng bình chia độ vừa tạo ra.
* Lời giải:
– Dùng bình chia độ vừa tạo ra (ở câu C5) để đo thể tích của 1 hòn đá và 1 viên bi.
– Để đo thể tích của 2 vật này em lần lượt cho từng vật vào bình chia độ. Thể tích của phần nước dâng lên là thể tích của từng vật.
Như vậy các em đã biết cách đo thể tích của vật rắn không thấm nước đó là dùng bình chia độ (nếu vật rắn bỏ lọt bình chia độ) và dùng bình tràn (khi vật rắn không bỏ lọt bình chia độ).
