Cách viết thư xin nghỉ việc bằng tiếng Anh

1.1. Tiêu đề

Không chỉ là đơn xin nghỉ việc mà bất kỳ mẫu email nào cũng cần mở đầu bằng lời chào. Với các email tiếng Anh, chúng ta áp dụng chung lời chào sau:

Dear Mr. / Mrs….(tên của người quản lý/giám đốc của bạn hoặc gửi Ban lãnh đạo công ty)

1.2. Đoạn mở đầu

Ngay từ đoạn đầu tiên, bạn cần tìm hiểu về cách viết mail xin nghỉ phép chính là đi luôn vào vấn đề chính là bạn viết email này để xin từ chức, tránh lòng vòng.

Mẫu câu:

I am writing this email to inform you of my resignation from [vị trí của bạn], effective [ngày chính thức nghỉ việc].

Tôi viết đơn này để xin phép thôi việc tại vị trí…từ ngày….

hoặc

1.3. Đoạn thân

Đây là phần chính và quan trọng của thư xin nghỉ việc bằng tiếng Anh. Bạn có thể trình bày mọi vấn đề của mình có liên quan đến việc xin từ chức, tùy vào từng hoàn cảnh. Để làm phong phú hơn nội dung bài viết, bạn cũng cần trau dồi, tham khảo những chủ đề luyện viết tiếng Anh thiết thực cho dân văn phòng. Tuy nhiên, nhìn chung thì mẫu email xin nghỉ việc nên bao gồm các ý nhỏ sau:

• Những đánh giá tích cực của bạn về công việc và con người ở công ty cũ.

Ví dụ:

• Lý do vì sao bạn lại xin nghỉ việc

Ví dụ:

Recently, I’ve received a very good chance to work in my hometown where my parents live. And it’s very mean to me.

Gần đây, tôi có được cơ hội rất tuyệt để được làm việc tại quê nhà, nơi mà bố mẹ tôi sống. Điều này rất có ý nghĩa đối với tôi.

• Cam kết về việc hoàn thành nghĩa vụ còn lại của bạn tại công ty thể hiện trách nhiệm, sự chuyên nghiệp và lương tâm nghề nghiệp của bạn. Cụ thể, nếu bạn làm việc bán hàng kinh doanh thì cần chuyển giao lại các khách hàng cho đồng nghiệp, hay nếu bạn làm việc trong ngành marketing thì phải bàn giao dự án hoặc cố gắng thực hiện cho hết nhiệm vụ trước khi nghỉ việc.

Ví dụ:

I will always be ready to assist in training my replacement in my last 2 weeks with the company.

Tôi rất sẵn sàng trong việc hỗ trợ đào tạo người mới thay thế tôi trong 2 tuần cuối cùng còn lại này.

1.4. Phần cuối

Kết thúc thư xin nghỉ việc bằng tiếng Anh sau khi nêu rõ về việc bạn sẵn sàng giúp đỡ người mới trong giai đoạn chuyển giao nhưng không cần phải nói chi tiết. Bạn cũng có thể đảm bảo rằng sẽ cố gắng, nỗ lực hết mình để bàn giao công việc suôn sẻ và làm việc đến tận ngày cuối cùng. Tiếp đó, tất nhiên sẽ là thư cảm ơn khi nghỉ việc gửi gắm những lời cảm ơn chân thành cũng như lời chúc tốt đẹp đến từ bạn. Sự chăm chút, tinh tế trong bức thư này sẽ đem đến 2 lợi ích thiết thực nhất: sếp đọc thư, có ấn tượng tốt; nếu quay lại công ty làm sẽ vẫn được ưu tiên chọn bởi thái độ chuyên nghiệp của mình.

Ví dụ:

I would like to thank the company so much for every opportunity and experiences I have been offered me. I wish [tên công ty] continued success in the future.

Tôi muốn cảm ơn công ty vì mọi cơ hội và kinh nghiệm mà mình đã nhận được. Tôi chúc công ty… tiếp tục thành công trong tương lai.
